Tampa RV SuperShow Huge Success
RV Buddies cast and crew left Tampa, Florida yesterday after spending nearly a week covering the festivities of the FRVTA Florida RV SuperShow.
The crowds were huge. With the large amount of video production gear to carry, RV Buddies cast and crew traveled from coach to coach on golf carts. Sometimes it took nearly 20 minutes to weave in and out of the crowds! We patiently waited outside RVs to film. There were even lines of people waiting to see some of the high end coaches and premieres of new models.
Everyone had a blast. Elise did hand-stands in front of coaches. Robert bet her that he could beat her at rock-climbing and lost. As a consequence he had to parade with his face painted!
The Rally, a recurring part of the show, had huge attendance. The Rivolis entertained one evening to a full-house. There were attendees from states from all over the country. Even some Canadian RVers made it to Florida for the festivities.
After Robert, Elise and the crew left, Mark stayed behind for the day to drive to Orlando from Tampa to visit Jim Bounds of the GMC Coop to discuss our GMC "Project RV".
His shop was filled with great toys. Mark had a chance to see several coaches in person and reminisced with Jim about the last 30 years of RVs and their mutual audiophile hobby. Over lunch, Jim posed with his favorite waitress.
There's a lot more story to share about the SuperShow. Today the cast and crew enjoy a well-deserved day off resting, unpacking, and resting their feet after covering the nearly one million square foot show over 50 times. Stay tuned for a complete wrap-up report.
