Bob and Rob Lee Buy Country Coach Assets

0

Will Country Coach come back? What are brothers Bob and Rob Lee up to? These questions will only be answered with time.

In a recent report on RV Business, it was reported that Bob Lee, the founder and CEO of Country Coach, with his brother Ron bought up about $1 million worth of the old Companies assets.

Prior to Country Coach going bankrupt, the Company attempted to restructure several times and negotiate debt. Whether it was Bob Lee's strategy to let it go and then buy it back cheap may never be known.

What is known is this. Bob and Ron are starting a new company. While it will not be the same Country Coach, they did buy the intellectual property, along with some major equipment at a fraction of its value. So this new company will start up debt-free and hopefully launch with a viable product.

According to Bob Lee, they will open in the same building which he still owns. The new product in the planning stages will still be high-end in quality and build - but will be shorter and narrower. (Tiffin is scheduled to release their 28' pusher, the Allegro Breeze,  this Spring.)

Bob thinks down-sizing will appeal to their customers saying,  ”I’m 77 years old and sometimes a big coach is a little more than I want to deal with..."  At the same time, it should also satisfy the needs of the younger RVer who demands the best quality and wants go to locales that just don't fit anything above 35' .

Stay tuned for more developments.  For more information, you can read the entire article on RV Business.
