Apple iPad Revealed
The big day has finally arrived. CNET and Gizmodo (among others) provided live blog coverage from San Francisco of this amazing technological premiere. Web traffic was so high that both sites crashed a number of times.
Welcome the Apple iPad.
This device has potential. It can access all the apps from iTunes, play music, video games, movies and more. It has a 9.7" large touch-screen keyboard that can be used on your lap or desktop like a regular computer, and get this - 10 hours of battery life on a single charge!
So there you have it. Will this change the world? Time will tell. Rumors call it the "Kindle Killer". Hopefully not. It would be much better to have a renaissance of reading from the creation of this device.
What is true is that Apple is now the worlds' largest mobile media company. Think back to the first cell phones - big, bulky, a dollar a minute. And today - we hold the power of a computer in our hands that used to fill entire buildings at IBM in the 60's.
Whether you buy one or not, or are a technophile (like some of us), this device just changed the future of technology as we know it. By the way - pricing starts at $499 which is HALF of what analysts predicted!
Now can someone please write some RV apps?
